Is this an amplified or passive antenna?

It's a "standard" uhf/vhf antenna. Attic or roof-top mount. Small and compact, great reception. Install is very simply. Not passive but a massive little antenna at this price.

Can this 1 antenna be used for several tv's in a house?

I haven't had a chance to set it up yet but I assume that if you use a cable splitter and run the cable it's fine. I already do this with a much lower power indoor antenna and it works ok. That's why I bought this higher powered one.

What exactly does this product have to do with "Satellite TV?" It appears to be a terrestrial HDTV antenna to me.

no you need a digital tuner to tune in stations this is just an antenna for the tuner to be able to pick up the stations
