I paid for this, where is the code? been about 15 mins.

I had the same experience - paid and didn't get the code until after enough time had passed to make me nervous. It eventually arrived via email. I'd wait an hour or two before panicking

Question 2

If I purchase a new computer or have to reformat if problem, must i purchase a new program or will I be able to dowload again, or can I download to a disc and then download from my disc to my laptop?

You should be able to sign into your Microsoft account (from anywhere) and deactivate the current install. You should also be able to download the ISO to burn to a disc.

Does this product include an ACTVATION key code?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  It is emailed to you.  Additional Requirements (which are explicitly included in the product's Specifications listed by NewEgg) will also require you to sign up for a Microsoft account and use a late-model browser for completing your download.  Other storage requirements and operating system requirements are also explicitly listed.

I have a small SSD with windows 8.1 as my C: Boot drive. Can this be installed on another drive ?

It is still Microsoft Word regardless of the install media form so it will install in the system Program directory of the system drive which in your case is the SSD or drive C: the other option would be the use the online version from Microsoft.

Friends, i had Works installed in my old dell and it made it somehow to my newer first build.. mb had problem with 'heci' and had to be tanked.. along with a considerable number of '.wps' files..i have found some of them using my second build and old hdd, but can't open any of them... does Word allow me to access those old files?  thanks

Try downloading OpenOffice Write off of the web and open the files using that free Word-compatible software.  Then, save each file as '.doc' files and try opening them using Word 2013.

I just checked my email archive.  The Newegg email with the download link arrived about a half hour after the Order Confirmation email and five minutes after the "Payment Charged" email (where they confirmed my credit card was successfully charged.)
