Will it work well with windows XP?

Yes, it will work fine with Windows XP if you format it in NTFS file format.

What is the amperage draw on the USB port, while it is busy writing?

It spikes up to 0.55 Amps and jumps between that, 0.3 and 0.47 Amps while encoding a movie to the hard drive. It isn't constantly at one value.

Could this be used for Xbox One storage?

I use it to actually run games from. Since it's USB 3, it's faster than the Xbox Hard drive.

Does this work with apple products?

Yes if you have NTFS software support installed, other wise you will need to reformat it with the MAC OS.
