This adapter allows you to connect an HDMI, DVI, or VGA display to a DisplayPort video output. It conforms to the DisplayPort 1.2a standard and supports HDMI resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160) @30Hz, Dual-Link DVI resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 @60Hz, and VGA resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 @60Hz. Being a passive adapter, it is NOT compatible with the AMD Eyefinity and nVidia Surround multidisplay modes. Note that only one of the three video outputs can be used at any given time.
This unidirectional adapter connects a PC or laptop with DisplayPort to a 4K HDMI, Single-Link DVI, or VGA monitor, display, or projector, but it does not function in reverse (cannot convert HDMI, DVI or VGA to DisplayPort). It features a true 6" cable length with polycarbonate connector housings. The VGA and DVI end panels contain screw holes for secure attachment.
