The optical design of the Tokina atx-i 100mm F 2.8 FF MACRO lens ensures zero curvature of field and extremely low distortion, maintaining super high resolution across the entire image. It also controls chromatic aberration perfectly, and the multi-coating applied to the optical elements effectively reduces flare and ghosting. The lens features the One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, allowing for easy switching from autofocus (AF) to manual focus (MF). In AF mode, simply snap the focus ring back toward the camera to engage manual focus control, providing an authentic tactile MF experience with hard stops on either side of the focus range.

The front of the lens is equipped with 55mm filter threads, which extend during focusing but do not rotate, allowing for the use of various filters, including polarizers, for landscape or product photography. A focus range limiter switch on the side of the lens locks the lens focus into or out of the macro focusing range, preventing excessive AF hunting. The Nikon F mount version of the Tokina atx-i 100mm F 2.8 FF MACRO lens is equipped with a manual aperture ring based on the Ai AF Nikkor D-Type lens standard, making it compatible with a wide variety of cameras, including older Nikon film cameras.

Please note, when used with Nikon DSLRs that do not have a focus motor in the camera body, like the D3000 and D5000 series, only MF mode is available.
