The CGX-L 1100 is equipped to effortlessly carry Celestron's largest optical tubes, offering innovative features that fully support large telescopes, advanced imaging kits, and the latest wireless tech accessories. It boasts larger 144 mm diameter worm wheels for smoother operation and more accurate driving of heavier loads.

The extended 270 mm dovetail saddle is designed to provide better support for larger optical tubes, enhancing stability and performance. This telescope is designed with remote operation in mind, featuring home and limit optical sensors, easier polar alignment adjustments, and superior cable management. Mechanical and ergonomic improvements have been made throughout to ensure the mount is sturdier, more user-friendly, and easier to transport. The CGX-L 1100 offers an increased 75 lb load capacity and additional Aux accessory ports and autoguider port on the Dec axis for improved cable management. The massive 70 mm stainless steel tripod legs have a wider stance for enhanced stability under heavy loads.

The new accessory tray conveniently holds three 1.25" and two 2" eyepieces with an upright stand for your smartphone or tablet. This model also supports WiFi and wireless operation accessories such as StarSense AutoAlign and SkyPortal WiFi Module (sold separately). The compact, lower profile equatorial head provides improved stability and portability, while the improved motors offer more torque, better slewing, and tracking under heavy loads. The Celestron CGX-L 1100 is also equipped with Celestron's new PWI telescope control software, co-developed by PlaneWave Instruments. This software features multi-point mount modeling for extremely precise pointing accuracy and an "All-Star Polar Alignment" for quick and very precise polar alignment.
