The focuser features a 1:10 Stainless Steel fine-focus mechanism, ready for attachment of the optional Diamond Steeldrive temperature-compensating motor drive system. It features ultra-hard subzero coated bearing races that are precision milled and much harder than anodizing or stainless steel. The oversized 55mm inner clear diameter prevents vignetting, and the anti-reflection knife-edge baffles ensure optimal performance.
