With the SkyTracker Pro Camera Mount by iOptron, you can elevate your astrophotography to new heights. This next-generation camera tracking device, an upgrade from the original SkyTracker, boasts a compact design that fits comfortably in your palm. Its precision is unmatched, offering silent tracking and a built-in rechargeable power source that provides up to 24 hours of continuous operation. The SkyTracker Pro features an improved precision polar scope with a finely engraved reticule. It now comes with adjustable illumination, offering eight brightness levels for optimal visibility. When used in conjunction with the iOptron smartphone app, achieving quick and accurate polar alignment becomes a breeze.
This camera mount offers four tracking rates: 1X or sidereal, 1/2X for sky and landscape, solar, and lunar. These tracking rates are functional in both the northern and southern hemispheres. The all-metal structure, complemented by ABS covers, ensures durability and longevity. The SkyTracker Pro can be attached to a camera tripod with 3/8" or 1/4" threads and can support cameras weighing up to 3 kg ( 6.6 lbs). It offers silent tracking for smooth camera motion, making it perfect for long-term exposures. The mount includes a detachable alt-azi base with fine latitude and azimuth adjusters for easy polar alignment. The SkyTracker Pro also includes a reversible mounting post for both 3/8" and 1/4" threaded ball head mounting, an iOptron AccuAlign dark-field illuminated polar scope, and a padded carry bag for safe transportation. The built-in rechargeable battery comes with a Micro USB port for power and charging. Additional features include a quick slew mode for rapid camera framing adjustment and operation in both northern and southern hemispheres. The removable alt-azimuth base has been significantly improved, featuring a precision bubble level, degree markings for the altitude, and a built-in post for azimuth control.
The SkyTracker Pro Camera Mount can also be mounted directly to any standard photographic tripod with 1/4" or 3/8" threads. This device is an essential tool for photographers interested in astroscape or wide-field astrophotography. Optional accessories such as ball heads, tripods, and counterweight balance kits are available separately.
