This Gentex adapter is designed to adapt a VW/Audi wedge style mirror mount to a standard wedge mount. You would use this if you are trying to put a standard aftermarket mirror in your vehicle, for instance. VW/Audi used three different mirror mount types.

Please contact us with your year and model before purchasing. As a general rule, this only works with the style of mount that had a round plastic cover around it (where the mirror arm attaches to the windshield. ) If your mirror arm cover is rectangular or tear-drop shaped, this is likely not the correct adapter for you. We may have one available though.
