    The Extreme Networks SFP+ LRM transceiver is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet module with a 1310 nm wavelength, multimode fiber support, an LC connector, and a listed 220 m link reach, suited to network administrators connecting compatible equipment over fiber.

    Recommended For

    • Network administrators connecting 10GbE switches over existing multimode fiber runs up to 220 m, when the ports are confirmed to support LRM.
    • IT teams reusing legacy OM1 or OM2 multimode fiber for a 10GbE link, provided they use the mode-conditioning patch cord Extreme specifies.
    • Teams building short 10GbE fiber links between network closets or nearby equipment rooms, where LC fiber connections and the module’s supported reach fit the installation.
    • Network teams with a short standard single-mode fiber run of up to 300 m that specifically needs an LRM optic and has verified port compatibility.
