MADE IN USA: A small team handcrafts chimes at an independently owned and operated shop in Nashville, Tennessee, focusing on building exceptional quality instruments while supporting American jobs.
WHY IT MATTERS: Having complete control over design and manufacturing allows for premium construction with locally sourced materials, resulting in pure-sounding, highly intentional, professional, and long-lasting instruments.
THE BARS: Custom mill bars, certified to specifications and quality tested, are used. The aluminum/titanium alloy is heat-treated in-house for 8 hours and tuned by ear. Bars are never painted, tinted, dipped, anodized, or plated, as this negatively impacts sound quality.
THE MANTLE: Selections consist of black walnut or white ash sourced from managed forests in the middle Tennessee region. Boards are hand-selected from kiln-dried stock, then cut, sanded 16 times, and finished with a hand-rubbed oil.
NO PLASTIC TIES: Bars are hand-tied to the mantle with CordLoc, a chosen fiber composition braided for remarkable strength. Like mini repelling rope, CordLoc prevents bars from ripping off, a frequent issue with plastic clothing ties. CLASSIC LARGE 35
DOUBLE ROW: This is the most popular chime in a double row version. Two rows of chimes deliver a big chorus effect that fills large spaces with shimmering sound.
OF NOTE: It attracts players from all walks of life including DCI Drum Corps, professional drummers and percussionists, Broadway performers, churches, universities, recording studios, marching and concert bands, yoga studios, and sound healers.
BY THE NUMBERS: 69 bars (3/8" thick), double row. A 7/16" hole in the mantle fits all cymbal and chimes stands, as well as the TRE52 Chime Mount (sold separately)
