Quarter Pound Staggered Strat - Neck/Middle/Bridge - Black

Delivering over twice the power of a conventional Strat single-coil, the Quarter Pound Staggered features a robust and impactful midrange along with a clear top end that is always prepared to be turned up. The hand-polished, diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets employ the classic Strat pole stagger and are paired with a potent custom coil winding to provide bright midrange harmonics, excellent sustain, and large, full chords. The Quarter Pound Staggered RWRP for Stratocaster utilizes the same diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets and high-output custom coil winding as the standard version, but is constructed reverse wound, reverse polarity so that, when used with the neck or bridge pickups in positions 2 and 4, it delivers quiet operation.

By itself, it provides the same enhanced, powerful tone that you obtain from the standard wound model. The neck/bridge and middle pickups are also offered in an optional tapped variation, enabling you to access both vintage and high-output tonalities with one set. The bobbins are hand-built using a custom high-output coil wind, diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets, and are wax potted for performance free of squeal. Modern oval Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) allows this pickup to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils. Handcrafted in Santa Barbara, California, the products are engineered and made to produce incredible sound.
