The Edifier W820NB Plus is an ivory Bluetooth ANC over-ear headphone with a built-in microphone, suited to listeners who want wireless audio and active noise cancellation for everyday use.
Recommended For
- Desk workers and students who want over-ear headphones to reduce steady background noise while studying or working; reviewers found the ANC useful and the fit comfortable for seated listening.
- Bus or train riders who mainly wear their headphones during the ride and want ANC to soften low-frequency engine and road noise, rather than a compact pair to stow away.
- Casual music and movie listeners seeking comfortable over-ear Bluetooth headphones for everyday listening, without needing customizable EQ or top-tier sound refinement.
- People who take occasional calls in relatively quiet indoor settings and want a built-in microphone, rather than a headset optimized for frequent or critical calls.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- On a bus, train, or subway, a commuter can use ANC to reduce steady background noise while listening; it can make the ride less distracting, but it does not silence every sound.
- At a desk in a shared office or at home, a listener can use ANC and the over-ear fit to make music or other audio less interrupted by surrounding noise; the snug ear cups may feel warm during extended wear.
- For a phone or video call in a relatively quiet office, the built-in microphone can make speech understandable, though reviewers found the voice quality imperfect; expect less reliable results in wind or other noisy outdoor settings.
- At home, someone streaming music, movies, or TV can use the headphones for everyday listening; a reviewer tested them across music and movie playback and found the sound serviceable, rather than a standout for its price.
- For casual PC gaming, a user can connect over USB for audio or use Bluetooth Game Mode; this suits everyday play, but the available testing does not establish it as a competitive-gaming headset.
