Roscolux Matte Silk, 20x24" Sheet of Light Diffusing Material

An essential tool for photographers and videographers, the Roscolux Matte Silk 20x24" Sheet of Light Diffusing Material is designed to enhance lighting quality and create the perfect ambiance for any scene. This premium light diffusing sheet is part of Rosco's esteemed Roscolux range, known for its durability and superior performance under the demanding conditions of hot theatrical lights. Crafted through an innovative tri-extrusion process, the Roscolux Matte Silk features three distinct layers that work in harmony to extend the lifespan of the filter. The central colored layer is encapsulated by two ultra-thin clear layers, which serve to protect against dye migration and preserve the integrity of the color.

This advanced construction not only prolongs the effective life of the filter but also ensures consistent, high-quality results throughout its usage. The Roscolux line is renowned for its exceptional material composition, with over 65% of the filters made from robust co-extruded polycarbonate plastic. The remaining filters are constructed from deep-dyed polyester, offering a diverse selection to meet various lighting needs. Unlike ordinary color filters that are merely surface-coated on clear polyester film, Roscolux filters are built to resist the detrimental effects of heat and physical abrasion. This means that the filters are less prone to fading and scratching, maintaining their effectiveness over time.

Available in convenient 20x24" sheets, this light diffusing material is perfect for customizing lighting in a wide array of applications, from striplights to specialized lighting effects. Its versatility is further highlighted by user reviews, such as one that praises its performance as an "awesome light modifier, " particularly when used in conjunction with atmospheric effects like smoke. For those in need of larger dimensions, Roscolux also offers rolls measuring 24x25ft, and for even more extensive requirements, the Cinelux line provides rolls of 48x25ft. Whether you're capturing a client product shot or crafting the lighting for a theatrical production, the Roscolux Matte Silk light diffusing sheet is a reliable and professional choice that stands up to the rigors of creative work and delivers exceptional results every time.
