Roscolux Parry Sky Blue, 20x24" Color Effects Lighting Filter

Over the years, Roscolux Parry Sky Blue, a 20x24" Color Effects Lighting Filter, has become a favorite among designers for its ability to create stunning early morning sky tones. This filter is particularly popular for use in cyc and borders, offering a transmission rate of 14%. Roscolux, the premier range of filters from Rosco, is crafted using a unique tri-extrusion process that ensures an extended lifespan, even under the intense heat of theatrical lights. This process involves the fusion of three discrete layers, with the colored layer sealed between two microscopically thin layers of clear film.

This innovative design minimizes dye migration, thereby prolonging the filter's effective life. Known as "Supergel" in overseas markets, Roscolux is currently the most widely used filter range globally. It is constructed from two types of plastic, with over 65% of the line made from co-extruded polycarbonate plastic, while the remaining part is deep dyed polyester. Unlike ordinary color filters, which are manufactured by surface coating clear polyester plastic film, Roscolux filters have their color integrated into the material. This means the color is not merely painted onto the surface, making it more resistant to heat and physical abrasion.

Consequently, the dye is less likely to be easily removed, resulting in less fading and scratching. The Roscolux Parry Sky Blue filter is available in sheets of 20in. X 24in. (50cm x 61cm) or rolls of 24in. X 25ft. (61cm x 7.62 m). For those requiring larger dimensions, the Cinelux line of filters offers rolls of 48in. X 25ft. (122cm x 7.62 m). This filter is an excellent choice for those seeking to enhance their lighting effects with a durable, high-quality product.
