The CLAR 20" x 27" Fluorescent SoftBox with AC Plug and Spiral 85W Bulb is easy to assemble and keeps its cool despite the high output. The unit comes with a flicker-free compact fluorescent, daylight balanced spiral bulb, rated at 5500 degrees Kelvin. 85 watts in fluorescent technology translates into 350 watts of quartz light output to deliver much more lumens per KW. Even more, the softbox hardware snaps into place, similar to our popular EZ Lock system. Screw the bulb into the socket, unfold the softbox, connect to an AC source and flip the switch.
No rods to struggle with, no speed rings to align with the rods. This long-lasting "cool" light emits very little heat and can stay on all day long without a problem of overheating or energy draw. The CLAR FL Softbox can be used with the simplest digital cameras or camcorders as the continuous light creates a WYSIWYG scenario. Just aim and shoot to capture subjects with mastering a new photographic technique. The right amount of diffusion and the smoothest of lightbox positioning options. The mild temperature output makes it ideal for shooting portraits or still life.
And, when you're done, remove the bulb, fold the four sides together, like an umbrella, and be on your way.
