    Overview

The ENS Titanium ED98256H5NV-A3H is a 256-channel enterprise NVR built for installations where channel count, storage, and uptime all matter at once. It accepts IP video from 720P through 16MP at 768 Mbps in and 768 Mbps out, records every channel at full resolution, and plays back 16 channels simultaneously the scale a campus, hospital, distribution center, transit hub, or municipal deployment actually needs from a single head end.

Sixteen SATA bays support up to 10TB per drive for 160TB of raw capacity, and hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 means a drive failure doesn't cost you footage. Two eSATA ports extend storage further. This is the distinction that separates an enterprise recorder from a large consumer one: redundancy is built in rather than hoped for.

Display output is equally serious. HDMI1 drives true 8K at 7680 × 4320, with three additional HDMI outputs and a VGA port feeding separate monitors up to 132 video windows across all four outputs simultaneously, so a control room can run a video wall, an operator station, and a lobby display from one appliance.

The AI stack handles face detection and comparison against 32 libraries holding 10,000 face images, matching at 36 comparisons per second across 16 channels, with successful-recognition and stranger alarms, track display on a map, and statistical reporting by day, week, month, quarter, or custom period. Onboard processing adds 4 channels of face detection and 8 channels of human/vehicle classification independent of camera capability, while AI-equipped cameras can pass through classification, attribute analysis, and license plate recognition across all 256 channels. Search options include time slice, time, event, tag, smart, and target database search so finding the right 20 seconds doesn't mean scrubbing hours of timeline.

Twenty-four alarm inputs and eight outputs, full-duplex RS485 for PTZ and keyboard control, RS232, dual gigabit NICs, and support for up to 128 simultaneous client connections round out a 3U rack chassis running embedded Linux on an ATX-275W supply.

    Key Features

256 Channels at up to 16MP Full-resolution recording across every channel, from 720P through 16MP, with 768 Mbps of incoming and outgoing bandwidth.

16 SATA Bays, 160TB Maximum Up to 10TB per drive, plus 2 eSATA ports for external expansion.

Hardware RAID 0/1/5/6/10 Genuine storage redundancy so a failed drive doesn't mean lost evidence.

    True 8K Output HDMI1 drives 7680 × 4320 at 60Hz for high-density video walls.

Four HDMI Outputs Plus VGA Up to 132 simultaneous video windows across all outputs, feeding separate monitors from one appliance.

16-Channel Simultaneous Playback Review multiple angles of the same incident side by side.

Face Recognition at Scale 32 libraries, 10,000 stored face images, 36 comparisons per second across 16 channels, with recognition and stranger alarms.

Onboard AI Processing 4 channels of face detection and 8 channels of human/vehicle classification handled by the recorder, independent of camera capability.

Video Metadata & Plate Recognition Human and vehicle attribute analysis and license plate recognition passed through from AI-equipped cameras on all 256 channels.

Advanced Search Time slice, time, event, tag, smart, and target database search.

H.265S / H.265+ Compression Substantially lower bitrate and storage consumption than H.264 at equivalent quality.

24 Alarm Inputs, 8 Outputs With triggering to record, snapshot, preset, and email.

Fisheye Dewarping Handled on the NVR, web client, or mobile app.

ONVIF Compatible Works with third-party IP cameras alongside Titanium models.

Enterprise Connectivity Dual gigabit NICs, 128 simultaneous client connections, full-duplex RS485, RS232, USB 3.0.
