The low-light polarizer was developed for shooting indoors in low-light conditions and for situations that do not provide enough light for a standard polarizer to be used.

The low-light polarizer reduces glare and reflections and adds just enough punch to saturate colors and maintain decent contrast without compromising image quality. It is no match for the Ultra Pol, but it gives the camera professional that little touch of polarization that is needed to keep the scene crisp, especially if the low lightpol is being used indoors with one or two other filters.

The low-light polarizer is purposely designed with a one-stop compensation factor and sets the stage for camera professionals to feel confident when stacking it with a Pro-Mist, Soft/FX, or other favorite diffusion filter. The Tiffen low-light polarizer joins the ranks of other Tiffen polarizers including the Circular, 85/Pol, 812/Pol, and Enhancing Pol filters.

    Why use a Polarizer

What does a Circular Polarizing filter do What's the difference between a circular and linear polarizer Along with UV and ND filters, Polarizer filters are among the essential DSLR camera filters every photographer should have this filter guide will explain it all. Polarizing filters provide color and contrast enhancement. Reflected light often shows up as whitish glare that washes out color in an image. A Polarizer filter corrects this problem producing deep, dramatically blue skies. It also removes glare from non-metallic surfaces, such as windows and water. Color saturation in general, especially outdoors, can be improved significantly by using polarizer filters.

Think of a Polarizer as Sunglasses for your camera.
