While the B&W XS-Pro Digital NANO Multi-Coated (MRC) Clear #007 Filter is an essential tool for both color and black and white photography, it also doubles as a permanent lens protector, safeguarding your valuable camera lens. This clear filter has been recognized over the years for its ability to protect lenses from damage, acting as an affordable insurance for your equipment.

The B+W XS-Pro Digital Filter Series, including this #007 model, features a newly designed mounting ring, specifically tailored for SLRs equipped with wide-angle and zoom lenses. Its ultra-thin design eliminates vignetting, even in the widest shots, ensuring optimal image quality.

B+W XS-Pro Digital Filters are equipped with front threads, allowing for the attachment of additional accessories such as filters, screw-on shades, and lens covers. The filter rings are crafted from brass and are matte black to prevent unwanted reflections, enhancing the clarity of your shots.

One of the standout features of this filter is Schneider's proprietary MRC Coating. This unique Multi Resistant Coating, developed by Schneider-Kreuznach, provides exceptional anti-reflection properties, resulting in brilliant colors and high contrast in your images. This highly resistant multi-layer broadband coating, consisting of eight layers on both sides, is exclusive to Schneider lenses and B+W filters.

The MRC coating is also scratch-resistant, water and dirt-repellent, making it easier to clean the glass surface. Its low residual reflection (0.5%) effectively prevents ghosting or double images, which can be caused by return reflections from sensors.

The filter also boasts a nano coating, a protective outer layer that comes standard with all XS-Pro Digital MRC filters. This nanotechnology-based feature enhances the water beading effect, making the cleaning process simpler and faster than ever before. The MRC nano has an improved outer (8th) layer over regular MRC.

This filter utilizes our XS-Pro Digital mount, which is particularly suited for DSLRs with wide-angle and zoom lenses. It features a front thread for attaching additional accessories such as lens caps or hoods. All XS-Pro Digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections.
