This rectangular filter is expertly crafted to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while maintaining a normal, unaffected exposure in other regions. It transitions smoothly from dense at the edge to clear in the middle, making it ideal for images featuring elements like trees, buildings, or mountains that extend into the skyline.

The NiSi GND filters are designed to preserve the true colors of your image. They are constructed from high-quality B270 optical glass, not resin, and feature a nano coating to prevent loss of detail. Additionally, these filters have an infrared protection coating layer to eliminate infrared light that can cast an unwanted red hue on your photos when shooting at a small aperture.

While B270 glass filters are stronger than optical quality glass and can survive drops from approximately 1m onto concrete, they are not shatterproof. The toughening process for this glass degrades over time, and while the strength may degrade, the image quality remains very good for most photographic applications.
