Do the cameras record 24/7?
The cameras detect people, animals and vehicles 24/7. They will skip empty videos without activity and record people/ animals/ vehicles. You can also keep the cameras plugged to 5V power and switch to 24hr continuous recording mode.
Will I have to recharge the cameras' batteries often?
No, you don't have to. We suggest you to recharge the cameras to 100% before you mount them, then install them with the solar panels. The solar panels replenish the power everyday.
The WiFi distance is not as good as advertised.
The furthest working distance is obtained on open ground so it's for reference only. Walls & WiFi interference will cut the distance. Go to NVR's Network setting and click 'Adaptive channel' so the NVR auto-select a best WiFi CH & performs its best.
Why the camera misses some people and activities?
The motion detection works well when movement goes across the field of view. Motions occur directly toward or away from the camera is harder to detect. Please adjust the camera's mounting spot and angle accordingly. The sensing distance is about 30ft
Is any monthly fee required to use these cameras?
No monthly fee at all. The cameras are permanently free to use. The NVR has local storage so you don't have to pay for Cloud storage plans. The WallPixel/ PixelWall Apps do have Cloud subscription plans if you'd like so. It's not mandatory.
