All of todays modern balanced audio equipment with the standard 3 pin XLR are wired with PIN 2 for the hot. However, there was a time when there was not standardization for the 3 pin XLR and and vintage manufactures like AMPEX and OTARI used PIN 3 for the hot signal.
These premium quality pro audio cables are ideal for use with OTARI Reel to Reel Recorders and other audio equipment that uses PIN 3 of the XLR for the hot signal. Cables are hand assembled with our proprietary OFC wire and pro audio connectors and terminated with our high quality, lead free solder.
This cable has a balance male 3 pin XLR (Pin 3 Hot) to a unbalanced male RCA
In addition, all cables are 100% QC and tested and specially labeled for easy identification to avoiding confusion with standard audio cables. Cables are sold in pairs and color coded (red for right). Available in lengths from 3 to 30 feet. For longer cables, please contact our customer service by phone or email. Limited lifetime warranty.
