Product description Newest IMX219 8MP Wide Angle Camera Module for Raspberry Pi No less than the Raspberry Pi official camera V2, this camera module is also equipped with a high-definition IMX219 8MP sensor for shooting HD video and still images. It is excellent in image quality, color fidelity, and low light, supports 1080p47, 1640 × 1232p41 and 640 × 480p206 video modes, and supports still capture. This camera module has a 175° (D) wide-angle M12 Lens, which provides a much wider Field of View compared to the stock lens on V2 camera module.
For beginners, this is a very easy camera module to get started; for advanced players, this camera module has more knowledge that you should explore and DIY.
Note: This is an IMX219 camera designed by Arducam, please use the libcamera stack. Raspberry Pi legacy OS and rapsitill are NOT supported. You need to modify the config. txt file and add configuration lines according to the camera type before using it. sudo nano /boot/config.
txt add the line: dtoverlay=imx219 To override the automatic camera detection, Bullseye users will also need to delete the entry or change it to value 0.
camera_auto_detect=1 update: camera_auto_detect=0 For Pi0-3 bullseye users, you also need to enable glamor acceleration: sudo raspi-config Navigate to Advanced optionsGlamorenabled
