Works with any 120/240V residential panel and is required by NEC 2023 for generator installations. It is compatible with all major panel brands. The 2023 NEC mandates an SPD whenever a generator transfer switch is installed, making this a code-compliant addition. Features a 50 kA per phase capacity with 200 kA SCCR to manage utility and indirect lightning surges. Thermally protected MOVs absorb high-energy voltage transients before they reach your panel, appliances, HVAC systems, and sensitive electronics. Contains 24-inch pre-wired 12-gauge leads that connect to a 20-amp 2-pole breaker in your panel.

It mounts directly to any standard 1/2-inch panel knockout via nipple mount. The 20A 2-pole breaker is not included and must be provided by the installing electrician. NEMA 4X enclosure is rated for indoor and outdoor installation in all weather. The corrosion-resistant housing operates from -4°F to 122°F and resists rain, dust, and humidity, offering installers flexibility to mount inside or outside the home. This is a dual-rated Type 1 and Type 2 SPD in a single compact unit. Type 1 mounts line-side for primary defense against incoming surges; Type 2 mounts load-side after the main breaker.

The unit is field-configurable for either application by your licensed electrician. A visual LED status indicator verifies active protection at a glance. A solid green LED means all MOV protection elements are intact and functional. If the LED turns off after a major surge event, the unit has safely sacrificed itself and needs replacement. Protects against both high-energy external surges and small daily internal transients. Appliances cycling on and off generate repetitive low-level surges that degrade electronics over time. Thermally protected MOVs block both types before damage accumulates. Package contains the SPD unit with 24-inch pre-wired L1, L2, and neutral leads (12-gauge), 1/2-inch nipple mount hardware, and an owner's manual.

The 20A 2-pole breaker is not included. Phone, coax, and ethernet surge protection require a separate point-of-use device
