- The WBC-GOLD-LOCAP-SPKR-12AWG contains a total of 588 99.99% high-purity oxygen-free copper (OFC) 0.12mm fine strands, divided equally between two 12AWG cores in an expanded dumbbell speaker cable design. The additional distance between the 2 cores provides low capacitance and low inductance for a speaker cable in the sub-$200 price range. The conductors are covered by a proprietary PVC blend that provides a tough yet highly flexible outer jacket. These audiophile cable assemblies feature high-grade connectors. The 3 micron, 24K gold-plated, audiophile-grade 4mm standard-diameter banana plugs have fully insulated bodies to help prevent accidental shorting and provide abrasion and corrosion resistance. The banana plugs are specially reinforced with an internal shaft to support heavy-gauge cables.
