Depends. If its a PCIe Gen 5 nvme that needs active cooling, then you will probably need to use the cooler that came with the drive because those drives run HOT. But if its a PCIe Gen 4 drive, even if its comes with its own cooler, you can remove that and use the motherboard's built-in metal cooler. Of course you can still opt to use the cooler that came with the drive itself. The choice is yours.
