When the touch bar is pressed, the alarm activates with a signal. It requires 2 AA batteries (not included). A key mortise cylinder is provided to arm or disarm the alarm. When armed, the alarm sounds immediately upon rail depression. The alarm volume measures 103 dB at 8 feet. An "ALARM WILL SOUND" sticker is included for on-site application. This unit fits 36-inch doors and cannot be cut down
