Can Pan v3 cover a whole room and follow movement?
Pan v3 rotates 360° horizontally and 180° vertically to follow movement across a room, garage or yard. Pan Scan cycles through four viewpoints. When several objects move at once, Motion Tracking follows the largest one, not a chosen person or pet.
Can its 1080p video capture faces and license plates clearly?
Pan v3 records 1080p video with color night vision for a nursery, pet area, porch or driveway. It can show facial detail nearby with good lighting, but distant faces or license plates are not guaranteed, especially at night or while panning.
Can Pan v3 record without a subscription?
Yes. Add a microSD card up to 512GB (sold separately) to save continuous video or motion events locally, then review a pet, package delivery or overnight activity in the app. A paid plan is optional and adds cloud clips and AI detection features.
Can Wyze Cam Pan v3 be used outdoors?
Yes. Pan v3 is IP65 rated for porches, garages and yards from -4°F to 122°F. For outdoor use, Wyze specifies using the Outdoor Power Adapter v2 and keeping the microSD slot covered. It is weather-resistant, not designed for submersion.
What does Pan v3 require for setup and reliable viewing?
Pan v3 requires continuous power and connects only to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Setup is easy with the Wyze app. For reliable live viewing of pets, a nursery, porch or second home, mount it where Wi-Fi is strong and leave room for the camera to rotate.
