The device also features an independent Thunderbolt connection on the front, allowing you to easily connect your laptop. The DaVinci Resolve 19 cut page introduces new media player, editing, and replay features. DaVinci Resolve is capable of handling common video file formats, allowing you to play any files your client provides. For broadcast graphics, DaVinci Resolve 19 can play video files with an alpha channel, outputting them as a 10-bit SDI fill and key. The Media Player 10G also includes a new multi-source viewer for visual media browsing. Any clips that match in time will be displayed in a multiview, and new "on air" controls enable the downstream keyer in a switcher, automating the playout to air with a single button.

The Media Player 10G is housed in an elegant design, packed with broadcast features. It can be placed on a desktop or rack-mounted using a Blackmagic Universal Rack Shelf. The front panel features an LCD with video, audio meter status information, including input, video standard, and the depth of the record/playback frame buffer.
