Sprint Quicksilver Black & White Print Paper Developer, 4 Liter #PR004-R

An economical, high-capacity developer for b&w prints with neutral tones. QUICKSILVER does not contain metol which can cause skin rashes.

The developing agent in QUICKSILVER is pyrazolidone-hydroquinone, which permits very accurate control of print density, contrast, and color.

Quicksilver gives b&w print tones a distinctive neutral color which does not vary from highlight to shadow (unlike Dimezone solutions) nor with development time (unlike metol-hydroquinone solutions). QUICKSILVER gives warm-tone papers a more neutral color than other developers.

QUICKSILVER develops all image tones at a constant rate. Therefore overall print density increases with development, but contrast (the relative difference between highlight and shadow density) does not vary. Overall density may be controlled by exposure and/or development. Color and contrast are determined only by the type of paper and grade or filtration.
