Pro Acoustics Pure Resonance Audio SP8 SoundPlane 2x2 Low-Profile 8-inch Ceiling Tile Speaker

The Pure Resonance Audio SP8 SoundPlane is a full-range ceiling tile speaker designed to drop into a 2'x2' suspended grid ceiling without having to cut holes or modify ceiling tiles. This offers a fast, easy, and cost-effective solution that saves installation time, effort, and expenses. The low profile depth of only 3.9" allows the speaker to fit into areas where deeper ceiling speakers could not. For use in commercial audio installations, the built-in adjustable 70V 10-watt transformer is conveniently accessible and located on the side of the rear back-box. The SP8 2x2 drop-in ceiling speaker contains a full-range 8" treated paper main cone driver, a secondary high frequency cone, with a 10 ounce magnet.

The fully enclosed back-can is constructed of industrial grade steel. The solid white panel with a perforated speaker grille seamlessly blends with the decor in most acoustic drop ceiling tiles. Built-in seismic safety strap tabs are integrated on the steel back-can for suspension mounting from ceiling points (consult your architect or engineer before installing). Great for small to larger commercial sound installations, this speaker provides excellent performance for background music, sound masking, and paging in audio distributed applications such as business offices, retail stores, restaurants, schools, classrooms, hospitality, foyers, reception and waiting rooms, airports, transportation stations and more.
