The 75 OHM RG179 cable consists of a solid-center conductor, followed by dielectric insulation and braided aluminum shielding sandwiched between one layers of aluminum-foil shielding. The coaxial cable protects against EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), which can distort signals as they arrive to the receiver. With minimal line interference, the cable delivers crisp, clear sound and pure video. BNC connectors are manufactured in 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm specification versions.
