Two rows of densely packed, dark goat hair bristles easily sweep away dust and other fine particles without scratching surfaces. The easy-to-grip handle ensure smooth maneuvering and control while cleaning. A build-up of dust can cause permanent scratches and damage as the record is played. Regular maintenance with a soft, anti-static brush such as Redecker's Phonograph Record Brush ensures lasting quality and superior sound. Measures 6" wide. The handle of the brush is made of oiled and dyed beechwood and complemented by soft goat hair. Derived from the Chinese long-haired goat, these bristles are by far the softest material in the Redecker line of brushes. Before being strung into the brush head, the goat hair is cleaned, scoured and combed in a multi-stage process. This finishing treatment ensures the utmost quality and optimizes the benefits of goat hair bristles. For maintenance, it is recommended to clean with a mild soap and warm water solution. Hang to air dry with bristles facing down to prevent damage to wooden handle.
