Built on the proven LSI SAS2008 controller, this 8-port 6Gb/s SAS/SATA HBA runs in HBA IT Mode for true pass-throughideal for ZFS-based systems such as TrueNAS, as well as unRAID and Proxmox. The card uses a PCIe 2.0 x8 host interface and provides TWO internal Mini-SAS SFF-8087 connectors (each breaks out to 4 SATA). You can directly attach up to 8 HDD/SSD drives for a clean JBOD topology, and scale further by adding an external SAS Expander when you need larger arrays. Included in the box are 2× SFF-8087 to 4× SATA breakout cables for immediate SATA drive hookup.

Note: these included cables are for SATA drives only and are not compatible with SAS drives. If you plan to use SAS HDD/SSD, please use SFF-8087 to 8482 SAS cables with power (sold separately) or choose our matched HBA + cable kit.
