PCIE Bifurcation Setup in BIOS/UEFI

2. This RIITOP M.2 PCIe SSD Host Adapter can NOT splitter PCIE X16 to PCIe X4X4X4X4 or X4X4, so your motherboard must support PCIE Bifurcation function. Otherwise, only one M.2 PCIe SSD will be recognized. If you are not sure PCIe Bifurcation of your motherboard, please provide the model information, and we will reply within 24 hours.
3. Setup PCIE splitter in BIOS/UEFI into X4X4X4X4 OR X4X4 mode(Compatible with Hyper M.2 X16 mode in ASUS).
4. If PCIE lane splitter to X8X4X4 mode, it will be recognise only 1 x M.2 PCIE SSD.
5. Number of M.2 PCIE SSD may vary depending on different CPUs and motherboards.
6. Suggest to add this card to the first PCIe x16 slot on your mainboard, and make sure it support PCIe Bifurcation (x4/x4 or x4/x4/x4/x4); if add to other slot, please to confirm that slot can work at x16 mode and support PCIe Bifurcation (x4/x4 or x4/x4/x4/x4) BEFORE!

Soft RAID in Window 10

(NOT support hardware raid)

This adapter card does NOT support hardware raid, the card only supports the formation of soft raid under win10 system, or the use of other third-party software to build raid.

1. When you find 1 separate M.2 PCIE SSD in Disk Management of Windows 10,
2. Right click the disk volume, which you want to setup soft RAID,
3. A pop-up window appears, click the option (Striped/Mirrored).

M.2 SSDs Installation

1. M.2 SSD head tilted at 30 degree angle, inserted into Key M interface,
2. The brass standoff snaps into the semi-circular position at the end of the M.2 SSD,
3. Secure the brass standoff from the back with screw.

How to Use:

1.Motherboard support:

The motherboard supports PCIE split function, which can be set to PCIE X4X4X4 or 4X4 mode. The motherboard supports PCIE RAID function. For ASUS motherboard supports the function of HyperM.2X16 expansion card. Different motherboards have different PCIE split channels. Some motherboards PCIE RAID is X8+. X4+X4, this motherboard 4bit M.2 card can only support 3 M.2 SSDs or devices, and 2bit M.2 card can only support 1 M.2 SSD or device. If you need to use this product normally, please select the motherboard correctly. Many motherboards share PCIE channels. Make sure that the motherboard can support the function of PCIE splitting. If you cannot recognize that many M.2 SSDs or devices, please remove or replace other PCIE devices, such as graphics cards, expansion cards, and onboard NVME SSDs.

Server motherboards, X299 and X399 motherboards have split function.
