Nano Base Board (A) (CM5-NANO-A) is a compact mini carrier board exclusively designed for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, serving as a cost-effective evaluation platform and embedded integration motherboard for CM5 core modules.
It features a tiny 55×40mm PCB dimension identical to the CM5 module itself, perfectly fitting narrow enclosures, IoT terminals, mini monitoring devices and customized embedded hardware projects without wasting extra installation space.
The carrier board reserves a dedicated CM5 socket to fully mount all editions of Compute Module 5, whether the eMMC onboard version or the storage-free CM5 Lite variant. A micro TF card slot is pre-soldered on the board, allowing you to burn Raspberry Pi OS image on a TF card to boot up CM5 Lite modules conveniently.
Rich practical peripherals are integrated on the circuit: one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A high-speed port for connecting flash drives, mice, USB cameras and other external USB devices; two 22pin 0.5mm FPC MIPI 4-lane interfaces to link CSI cameras and DSI touch displays for visual input and output; a standard 40PIN Raspberry Pi GPIO header supports stacking various HAT expansion modules for sensor, relay and communication extensions.
For operation and maintenance, it comes with a Type-C port for 5V power input and eMMC firmware flashing, physical POWER switch, BOOT button to enter burn mode, PWM cooling fan header, RTC battery socket and dual-color status indicator LEDs. The industrial-grade stable circuit design guarantees long-term continuous stable operation in embedded unattended working scenarios.
This base board is widely applied in prototype development of CM5 embedded systems, smart gateways, edge computing nodes, machine vision recognition equipment, small industrial controllers and customized intelligent hardware mass production integration.
