Does it have an optical drive bay?

Nope. There are no bays in the front.  The back has an access panel for accessing the dual hard drive bay. This panel is attached using a thumb screw.

wondering if i should get this case trying to build a beast pc?

If you’re looking for a pc case with tempered glass go with this one. Obviously it pairs great with razer peripherals and has great airflow for having 2 glass panels. Support for Lian li doesn’t have English phones but their email support is actually really good and this will support a lot of fans. Mine currently has a 360 mm radiator with 3 120 mm fans as well as another 6 fans. That makes 9 120mm fans. Tons of space for SSDs and hard drives as well as tons of holes for running cables through. All around a great and well thought out case that I would reccomend to anyone. Just make sure you buy some glass cleaner to pair it with. They also sell a bracket to put the gpu sideways. This is demonstrated in the pictures so be prepared for it not to have it. My rtx 2070 fits fine without the bracket but I’m on the fence about buying it strictly for visual purposes.

Question 4

my top panel wont fit on the PC without me taking (and leaving) the side panel (cable management side) off of it. is this a common issue? also is this an issue ill be able to resolve or did i just waste my money?

The side panels have two tabs which slide into the bottom slots on the case, while simultaneously hooking the top pin clips in... The side panels should be flush with the sides and top of the case before sliding the top panel on.  It takes a little getting used to, but it works and is pretty solid mechanism.  The other thing to check regarding the top panel not sliding into place is ensuring it's also flush (for example my radiator is mounted on top and I had to get flat screws to ensure the magnetic filter attached flush to case and wasn't bulging up which would prevent the top from sliding on properly.  There are 6 or so pin clips on the top panel as well, so I found that applying a little downward pressure to the lid where the pins hook in with the heel of my palm while sliding the lid on helped.  I personally love this case.  It's roomy and elegant as are most Lian-Li cases, but the higher end Lian-Li cases do seem to have more solid components and features from the thumb screws to the modo and PUS trays, etc.  Still a very nice case though.

how is the rgb on the razor case connected through rgb header, addressable header, or usb? you need to know when selecting what mb to use i would think.

USB 2.0 plug only. The rgb lights on the case are connected to a controller block using ribbon strips. That block is mounted to the bottom of the case. The controller box then has a USB 2.0 connection to the motherboard.

Just to clarify the above question, this is a CASE ONLY. But the case itself is fully assembled. You just remove the class panels and build your computer inside it.

Is it possible to lay this case on a side? Will that affect airflow?

I don't think this product was projected to be laid on one of the sizes. One is glass and the other is the intakes. Perhaps if you lay it over a platform with at least 6 inch from the ground then maybe it would work

Question 8

Pictures show GPU in vertical position but the back of the case does not have slots to connect monitors. How do you connect your monitors while mounting vertical GPU? Looks photoshopped.

Lightning is controlled via Razer Synapse. There are tools available to controlled Asus Aura products via Synapse however. Google Razer Aura Connect
