Great product but some bios issues 12/4/2019 1:21:55 PM

Pros: TB3

Cons: Bios would reset to default each time I power off.
Kinda difficult to build and link cables due to the design.

Overall Review: Maybe I should return this one and replace it for a new one and see what's going on.

Dear Valued ASRock Customer,

Thank you for purchase and review.
Wonder which specific BIOS setting being reset to default.
However, it usually occur on memory setting to default (2133) if the XMP or DRAM speed may not be taken.
May try adjusting memory speed lower than actual speed to check.

Very good so far but has compatability issues. 11/28/2019 4:28:35 PM

Pros: It has lots of features and thunderbolt 3 is great. It has several fast usb ports, but could use more. It's my first board with "rgb" but its not over the top. I have it colored red to match my case which is a custom Sliger sm560. It's very high quality and would go well with this case if not for compatibility troubles.

Cons: Asrock made some bad decisions in their design of this case. The "sata" ports are angled 90 degrees makes it almost impossible to use them in the case that I bought since they run into the power supple. I had to a buy some right angle low profile cables from Silverstone. I still had to file them down and and remove a screw from the motherboard to make it fit. Some popular mini itx cases won't fit it.

Asrock also need a bit more ambition. Thunderbolt 3 is great, but 10gb ethernet would be just as good. A real high end mini itx might be a gamble but I think there is a market.

Overall Review: Great product with compatabiity problems. Some Sliger and other popular mini itx cases won't accept it.

No Support from Asrock 11/21/2019 7:42:12 AM

Pros: Great x570 ITX board

Cons: Good luck getting proper cooling support list from Asrock. Two of the coolers that Asrock lists don't seem to fit. Are I joking? NO! When I called Asrock US support, they said they don't have updated list, so just return product. They list a Corsair H150i PRO RGB as compatible but it is a 360 radiator that won't fit a 240 case. After trying 3 different cooler, I finally found one to fit. I would never buy another Asrock product after the support I received on this one.

Don't expect the rebate either, as their rebate server is down. Call Asrock, they don't know when it will be fixed. WHAT HAPPEDED TO ASROCK SUPPORT?????

Overall Review: Seems to run great, but the 1.90 bios wouldn't run my Gskill 3600 Cas 16 memory, so went to 1.70 bios.

Dear Valued ASRock Customer,

Thank you for purchase and review.
Please visit link below for supported coolers list. They can be installed on boards' CPU socket and fit.
However, the radiator is based on the chassis's size.

Good board but had a few issues. 10/28/2019 8:47:02 AM

Pros: I never had a board stuffed with so many features. The fact they got it all on an ITX board is pretty amazing. Chipset fan isn't as annoying as it looks. You can switch it to silent which helps immensely (although the first board I received had a broken fan had to return it). Using 32 GB of DDR4-3200 CL14. Instantly recognized profile and loaded correct timings. Its not on the approved cooler list but the Celsius S24 by Fractal fits. The pump power cord kind of rubs on the memory but its no big deal. Its ITX, gotta expect some weirdness.

Cons: Had to return the first board due to the chipset fan rattling. Initial BIOS release was troublesome. Couldn't get into the BIOS sometimes to adjust settings. Once updated, has been working perfectly tho. LED's on the bottom of the board are kinda dumb as you cant even see them once you install a video card.

Overall Review: Props to newegg for expediting my return. Their customer service was super nice and helpful both times I had called them for assistance.

This was my first ASRock board and I gotta say I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I always go for Gigabyte but having thunderbolt 3 was what sold me. Had I not gotten a bad fan on the first try I would of gave it 5 eggs.

No beeps no video 10/24/2019 10:30:31 AM

Overall Review: Installed a 3700 , power comes on the motherboard as the lights light up, there are zero error beeps even though I know my speaker is good (works in other machine). Same for GPU and hard drive they are both fine in the other system. I might be out of luck on this one, I should have looked at the warning signs with the other 1 star reviews.

Good but has issues 10/23/2019 9:10:46 PM

Pros: 1. Great for memory OC; runs 3800 MHz CL16 at 1.34V
2. VRM temps are low
3. Wifi 6
4. Thunderbolt 3
5. Phantom gaming tuning software allows post-boot DRAM voltage adjustment

Cons: 1. Cooler compatibility is bad because the socket is surrounded by heat sinks and RAM slots
2. Significant vdroop (Vcore drops a lot under load)
3. m.2 slot is on the back of the board, making the SSD overheat
4. Doesn't allow manual BCLK adjustment
5. Doesn't have DRAM LLC or current limit settings
6. Some weird RAM behavior
7. Bios issues

Overall Review: This board overclocks my Vengeance RGB Pro 3600 (CMW64GX4M4K3600C18) really well. XMP profile worked like a charm and manual OC to 3800MHz CL16 is stable at as low as 1.34V. I had the Asrock X570m board for a couple days and that board didn't do nearly as well on memory overclocking. Strangely, this board often fails to boot if it tries to clock DRAM at 2133, which happens on first boot and when overclocking settings are reset due to failure. I have to take one of the memory sticks out for it to boot with 2133MHz DRAM frequency, then select XMP, save bios setting, shut down, and put the stick back in order for the system to work again with two memory sticks. Not a big issue but cost me quite a bit of time when I was figuring out a stable overclock.

Cooler compatibility on this board is pretty bad; I like the fact that it uses Intel mounting holes so I can rotate my cooler, but space is extremely limited on every side of the CPU socket. I had to remove the top heat sink for my aio water cooler to fit; fortunately, the top VRM doesn't seem to overheat even w/o the heat sink. Definitely CHECK YOUR COOLER DIMENSION before buying this board, it must not exceed the mounting holes by more than 0.4 inch / 1 cm on any side. I believe the other X570 itx boards are more generous with cooler space. I have a new cooler that would fit properly on the way

I updated the bios to P1.70 right after I got the system to boot; this bios version works great with memory overclocking but has the issue that it doesn't report CPU power consumption accurately (it would say 40-50W even under extreme load with OC). I tried P1.72 which supposedly fixes the issue, but it was terrible with memory overclocking, so I reverted to P1.70. I have a 3900X overclocked to 4.3GHz in this board, Vcore is manually set in bios to 1.325V but drops to as low as 1.238V under load no matter what LLC setting I use. That's almost a 0.09V drop, which is absolutely huge as vdroop goes. I hope upcoming bios will fix these issues

Another slight downside of this board is that it doesn't allow for BCLK adjustment, which would be useful if you want to push fclk slightly higher than the 1900MHz barrier. I've managed to break 60GB/s for read, write, and copy in AIDA 64, but it's really hard to do with 3800 DRAM + 1900 FCLK (I have to use unstable timings). I don't know why Asrock decided to remove BCLK control, hopefully they will add it back in future bios versions.

I also tested thunderbolt 3 on this board, it works well but doesn't reach Intel's claimed bandwidth as usual.

This board has quite some issues, but considering that it does so well in memory overclocking, I would say overall I'm happy with it.

2nd one works great 10/23/2019 2:11:33 PM

Pros: Tons of I/O
Thunderbolt 3

Cons: Issues getting RAM to run at anything over 3000mhz
Intel mounting holes cause issues with most coolers even when they support 115x
Feel the mounting hole should be advertised more to inform customers

Overall Review: Guess at this point only thing to do is use the pc and see if it lasts. RMA process was pretty quick i will say.

The actual value of this board. 10/22/2019 6:50:37 AM

Pros: 1. Compact but powerful
2. Thunderbolt 3
3. Nvme PCIe 4.0 compatibility (only with 3rd gen ryzen)
4. Wifi 6 AX
5. Build Quality
6. Very stable out of the box

Cons: 1. Case compatibility
2. Intel cooler required

Overall Review: So I see a lot of bad reviews about this board and i write this because I want to make it clear for the people that are thinking to buy this. Overall this mobo is the king in its class with all you could ask for. Yes we know it needs an intel cooler but they had to do this in order to maintain a stable power delivery to the CPU. I personally use Be quiet dark rock 4 and it is amazing. The only real downside of this mobo would be the fact that nvme gen 4.0 is getting hot and because the slot is on the back it is harder to cool. BUT aand here is the big thing. There are a lot of nice Itx cases that have a cutout big enough for you access the m.2 slot from the back. One of those is the NZXT H200I which is the perfect case for this. BE AWARE DO NOT BUY H210I because that one has from aio with USB type C. So for those people who are complaining about this mobo guys just do some research before you buy a product. And for Asrock well done for creating the best x570 itx mobo out there to date.
