does the card include the power cable?

Accepted Answer

No it does not. The power cable should come straight from your PSU. It requires either two separate 6 pin PCIe power cables or two separate 8 pin PCIe power cables according to the papers that came with it. My CX600 PSU has these so I would expect most PSU's to also have them.

Question 2

The graphics card I had before this one I used 1280x720 for my tv setting and it filled the screen. This card leaves a border around the edge of my screen. Is there a way I can configure it so that it would fill the screen?

You need to go into Catalyst Control Center and go into My Digital Flat Panels and go down to over scan and then widen the scan.  That's what I have to do on all my screens.

will i be able to run 2 of these cards in crossfire?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will be able to do it.  In fact, if you look at the Newegg page it says "CrossFireX Support - Yes".  They're supposed to come with a bridge, but I didn't remember mine coming in the box.  Otherwise, just make sure to buy one separate.

Question 4

I've read some bad reviews regarding extreme heat issues with this card and other R7 265 cards.  Is this very common?  I'm going to be using this for a gaming/HTPC build so moderate fan noise is OK, but I don't want anything I have to shout over.

Have 2 of these cards  265 run cool, had them on crossfire running cool, have them on 2 different cases now, 1 in corsair 250d and 240d without any heat issues. Current build have evga gtx 760 4gb and gaming only some small  gain fps from the 265 without overclocking of course. Luck of the draw sometimes. Good luck

If your asking whether you can use two of these in crossfire with the A10-7850k then yes that shouldn't be a problem. If you are trying to run this in crossfire with the integrated gpu of the A10-7850k then no.

I would like to get this card but have a question. I have two analog monitors with VGA plugs. I see the card has two DVI-I connectors, so will they accept my VGA plugs with DVI-I adapters? In other words are the two DVI-I connectors on the card VGA capable. Thanks.

If you have a female vga to male dvi-i adapter you can use the monitors. You could also buy those adapters because they're not that expensive.

To run two of these cards do I need a bridge?

Yes you will need a bridge in order to enable crossfire.  It may be in the box.  Check what the box contains.  I don't use this option.  Please be aware thought that this card is not cool nor is it quiet.  It's a good card for the money but make sure you have adequate case cooling and don't mind a mini jet engine when it's running at a good pace.

can I run both DVI-I ports and an hdmi at the same time?

Yes with this video card I have been able to run 2x 24 inch monitors from the dvi and then an hdmi connection from to my 55 inch tv. Setting up the displays is done through the ccc.
