No this will not be able to fit in this motherboard. When shopping motherboards, just look at the socket type. I'm fairly certain you can get an AM3+ socket motherboard for around this same price. AM3+ is what this AMD FX processor is, so you'll have to look for that. This motherboard is compatible with other CPUS outside of the FX series such as the Phenom II / Athlon II / Sempron 100 Series.

Is this compatible with biostar a770e3?

Hi,
I went to biostars cpu support website for this motherboard to see what they have as supported. It doesn't appear that this motherboard will support any cpu past the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T. It's a fast CPU, but it your case, if you can afford it, grab a new board that supports the latest AMD Vishera based CPU's.

Question 3

I bought this processor, and I recently just built my first computer.
However, when I launch Steam Big Picture (for those who don't know what is, it is a kind of program for gaming), the computer only recognized 3 cores.

So I go to task manager and count out 6 slots.
Then I go to system information, and it reads this:

"Processor	AMD FX(tm)-6200 Six-Core Processor, 3800 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)"

What is a logical processor, and why does my steam Big picture thing only recognize 3 cores? I bought this and saw it said 6 cores, and now I am kind of worried.

I can assure you this processor is in fact a 6 core. So far as Steam not seeing all 6... I'm not sure there. But I would look into things on their end first. I use Solidworks on mine and all 6 cores kick in just fine when I render objects.

P.S.: I believe these chips support some kind of core throttling to conserve power. If your motherboard has such a thing enabled, turn it off.

Question 4

Does this overclock past 4.1 ghz and how do i configure that?

With decent cooling the CPU can be overclocked higher than 4.1GHz. The method for overclocking your CPU will depend on the motherboard you have. Most modern day Motherboards have software that can run in windows that can overclock, as well as additional tools, or you can do it through the bios. I recommend doing a Google search for tutorials on overclocking, you'll find everything you need to know plus more.
