Will this drive work in an apple macbook pro?

Depends which version. The newer Macbooks don't allow you to upgrade the hard drive. Look at your laptop powered off. If you can open the hard drive bay on the bottom and see that you can remove a 2.5" SATA drive than yes you can use this drive.
