Question 1

I'm running a 32 bit OS, I know that it can't address the full 4 GB for overhead reasons, but installing it shouldn't cause stop errors on boot, correct?

so long as it is installed correctly then no it should not. my advice is to update your drivers after installation to correct any compatibility issues that arise. also how much ram your computer can utilize is dependent on the processor not the OS. you may very well be able to use it all without worry of overhead. in addition to that, even if you cant use it all it can still greatly improve your computers performance if it has a higher clock speed(i.e. 1366MHz versus 1066MHz). i hoped this answered your question. good luck

I have a Intel D945GSEJT

They say DDR2 533 SDRAM SO-DIMM or DDR2 800 or DDR2 667, validated to run at 533 MHz only.

The other thing it says id Serial Presence Detect (SPD) memory only. I do not see anything about SPD in the Specification.

Will this memory work?

I believe Robert L may be slightly misinformed about SPD, although the bottom line is the same. It is not used to change anything on the memory, just to let the host system read the memory's timing data so that it knows how to manage the memory correctly. I believe it's a standard feature of DDR2; it isn't something you should need to check for explicitly.

specifically is this RAM unbuffered and nonparity?

If your LT is or uses PC2 5300 it works. It is unbuffered and nonparity. Just install it and run it. No configuration needed.
