Does it have USB line? how to use it?

Kind of deceiving ad/information! 
You get NOTHING but drive in plastic enclosure!!!

Seagate has discontinued this model/size. I guess Newegg is purging remaining stock of (Just the Drive). They have left the ad from when they sold the DVR Extender kit or item complete. Hence all the necessary items to hookup and make it work. Because they are no longer made, I guess this is left over drives only?

So, answer to your question is;  NO!
 No USB line, NO cables of any kind, or power adapter. Just drive!

No power supply no cables.  Pretty worthless.  Newegg shouldn't be selling it as is without a warning.  Don't buy unless you want a project or already have the cables.

How can I refund it? Do I need to be charge extra fee besides shipping?

If bought from New Egg then the return shipping is to be paid by you. If bought over E-bay then no shipping charges are to be paid. Also, no extra fee has to be paid if the item is unopened.

I have a Verizon/Cisco CHS435 HDC DVR and it calls for an eSATA expansion drive. What cables/power supplies, etc. do I need to make this thing work. I have a SATA cable and nothing fits. Do I need a different drive?

Unfortunately, this drive was sold under false pretenses. The based of the drive and cables were not included, making this nothing more than an expensive bare drive in a shell.

You could remove the drive you bought from it's shell and buy a separate case..such as a Rosewill...this one would give you a usb and esata connection.

It's an additional expense, but you'd have a workable esata drive, but remember, you would also have to buy an esata cable. 
(sata and esata cables are not the same.)

Just where is the USB 2.0 hiding?

There is an adapter block that attaches to the drive that you see in the pictures that contains the ports. There should also be an eSata and USB cable and a power supply. For whatever reason, these aren't shown in the NewEgg pictures. Seagate has discontinued this model and now only offers a 1tb and 2tb expander.

Anyone know if this works for AT&T Uverse DVR expansion?

It won't work for anything unless you have a special adaptor.  It comes as a drive with case and proprietary connector that is unavailable.  This item is poorly described by Newegg.  If this had been my first item purchased from them it would have been the last.  I no longer trust the company as I used to.

What kind of cable do I need to purchase to make this drive work with my Charter Motorola DVR?

My DVR has a eSata connection, but I don't know what kind of connection is needed for this drive.

I believe the DVR is a sata connection(7 pins) and the one going into the DVR expander is an esata(21 pins) as far as connecting to a Motorola DVR,if it is a qip 7232 it won't work I have already tried this and DVR expander isn't recognized by the DVR. Hope this helps

Newegg, I usually love you guys, but I have to ask:  at what point are you planning to correct the massively inaccurate description of this product?  Any mention of "eSATA" *must* be removed from the page (as "USB" already has been) unless accompanied by a reference to the necessary, not included, and hard to find STAE103 adapter from Seagate (for eSATA) or STAE104 (for USB 3.0).  Just sayin'.

My laptop will let me plug this usb looking cable into and eSATA port that does usb and eSATA in one. I am not sure how that all works.
