I have an HP Pavilion 17T-ab000. I currently have a 2TB HD installed. i recieved a 5TB BarraCuda for my birthday. Will my laptop accomodate the 15mm drive?

I have not done the research for your HP pavilion laptop. I can only offer information as to my application of that hard drive. I had to remove the metal drive tray, do some modification to accommodate a drive 15 mm in size(definitely do not recommend modification). In the end I could not use that drive as it was incredibly slow. I expanded to a 1 TB solid-state to retain performance. Drive works well as a secondary storage for Plex media server.

Will this fit in an ASUS ROG G751JL?

I would say yes. It’s a 2.5 format. Though you’ll be sacrificing some speed. This is a 5400 RPM. I would look at hybrid drives or a 7200.

It says Up to 5TB capacity and both 7mm and 15mm form factors, how do I pick the 7mm one?

You can't. The drives over 2 GB are 15 mm. Those 2 GB and below are 7 mm.
