What is the RPM of this hard drive?

I just looked at my box and see nothing either. I think I read when I ordered it that it was 7200. But now looking online, I do not see that at all. Transferring my music files onto it now. Putting 6 TB onto it and started last night around 10 PM EST and have 6 hours to go it says.

Are you able to partition the space to C drive?

I would suggest getting an SSD...rather than use this for your root drive. They are VERY cheap now.

What are the typical read/write speeds? Is the USB 3.0 speed the main funnel factor?

Depends on how full the drive is and if you are transferring large or thousands of tiny files. When nearly empty and moving large files, speeds will be around 200 MB/sec. This will decrease as the drive fills up to around 100 MB/sec. Thousands of tiny files will be much slower than these speeds. USB 3 interface speeds are not really a factor here.
