Where does it say these are He filled? I haven't found that here nor at the WD Gold website. The newest Red Pros recently reviewed at Anandtech indicate that they are helium filled.

When I bought 5 of these wd gold 8 tb drives it explicitly said they were He. early 2017. Now it does not appear to say this though they are listed as still having a 5 year warranty. Not even listed on the wd site or in specs that i can see now. You could ask wd. i paid about 500 for these each a couple months ago. Prosumer drives from wd are getting He and these are the business model. I dont know what else to say... contact wd. I am happy with my five drives. No failures several months in. I bought for the warranty.

Are the gold drives filled with Helium?

only the 8 and 10TB models. that goes for all WD hard drives because all 8Tb and 10TB WD drives are rebranded Hitachi hard drives. that includes rep, red pro, gold, purple drives.
