Is the stick a true analog stick or a 4 or 8 directional D-pad?

The analog stick on this device is NOT a free-floating item. It has the ability to move around like a game controller item, but it is limited to a maximum of 8 directional 'buttons'. There are notches inside the case that you can feel the stick being pushed towards, but it's not limited to only those. Liken it to a C-stick on a GameCube controller, but with guides.
The resistance of the Analog is somewhat high compared to the console controller sticks, but I don't have any issues using it myself. Sometimes the commands feel a bit odd but I mainly keep it on a 4-button directional plan with the software, Razer Cloud. It's free from the Razer website, and has all the macros and commands accessibility. Hope it helped!
