Are the screens clear of scratches on these?

Yes, the one I purchased a few weeks ago looks absolutely perfect as far as signs of previous use. (looked brand new to me!)  The only thing I noticed is that the battery was very dead right out of the box... once I charged it up for a few hours, I could turn it on and get it working.  I'm very happy with my purchase...

Does this have an SD card slot?

No it doesn't, but my boyfriend loves it.  To make up for this deficiency, he will copy files from the camera on to the tablet through his laptop.  Hope that helped.

I am a bit confused. I have read all the Q&A on here. When asked does it have an SD port, the answer was no, you are stuck with only 32GB HDD. In reading the specs, it clearly states that it has a port for Micro SD cards. Does it have Micro SD? all my previous tablets used MicroSD cards as an extra Storage device. I have expanded a 4GB HDD into a 16GB capable device this way. If it has a Micro SD card slot, you can expand the device way beyond 32 GB.

This does not have a micro sd slot. You only have the stated memory.

If that is a deal breaker you may want to look at the Asus memo pad hd7. My daughter has an Asus memo pad hd7 that is very similar to the Nexus 7 (2012). The processor is different but perform similarly speedwise, nexus has a Tegra and I believe and the memo pad has mediatek.  The Memopad has a an micro card slot it states up to 32gb bit I hear a Sandisk 64gb will work. It is easily rooted. But so far only runs Android 4.2.2 not Kit Kat.

Well, both my kids have these and are completely satisfied in all their Minecraft and Angry Birds glory (not to mention Netflix and YouTube)...  I have an additional unit sitting in a charging dock in my kitchen which I use as a jukebox - it connects thru Bluetooth to my home stereo.  When I'm cooking I can control what I want to listen to...  I'm sure there's lots of other uses f pi r folks looking for a small tablet...

I didn't get any instructions. How do I get it to turn on? Does it need to be charged first? If so, for how long

Hold the first button on the right side until the screen turn on. Like any device it should be charged when its powered on it will show the the battery percentage when you slide down your right top side and you can click on the battery icon for information about battery life. And when its powered off. You can see the battery percentage when you click the power button and hold for one second

is it ok to use 110V and 220V to charge the battery?

We live in Europe, so this was an important factor to us as well.  Yes.  The device is charged via USB, so it can be charged either from a computer, or from the included 110/220V AC power adapter.

Is the memory 1GB? in Play.google the spec says 2GB, just wanted to double check.

Two Different Versions, Cross check upc or printed part number tobe sure since many internet descriptions copied/paste with wrong info. Notice description NEXUS7ASUS-1B32 i.e. 1B32 is one gig. If you want 2G look for 2B32

does it have a camera, not just webcam ?

Yes.  It is a front facing camera only.  This makes it a difficult to take pictures.  You will need to download a camera app (many free (Cymera, Picshop Lite, etc.) ones available) to utilize the camera functionality.
