The info says LTE Version.  Is that ATT or Verizon, Tmobile ?

I use Tmobile with my nexus 7, after receiving a SIM card from them and installing it. You should be able to use any carrier if you get the correct SIM card installed. Verizon does require a software update to android 4.42. It is a free update  for your tablet.

No, it is one of the Nexus devices- Google hopes you will be buying things from its cloud service offerings vs bringing your own. However, there is enpough space for frequently listened to songs on it

I need an unlocked tablet where I can insert a SIMM card from anywhere in the world.  Does this tablet have that capability?  If not, point me to one that does as long as it's Google Nexus 7.

 Can someone confirm 100% there is a slot on this tablet where I can pull it open and stick in a SIMM card?

Also, what's the difference between this one and another I see online in Newegg, both from Asus, one says unlocked the other says nothing

I am trying to avoid a major hassle I had with an iPad 2, where I was told it had the capability to change the SIMM card, but was 100% NOT TRUE.  I am not stuck with that one.  It turns out iPad 3 has that capability.

I REQUIRE a tablet with SIMM card slot so I can exchange cards and does that ALSO mean it can be/is unlocked?  I wish the manufacturers wold spell it out in plain english.

Cameras on phones and tablets can possibly digitally zoom but there is no wide angle, like on cameras. Don't expect to take gorgeous pictures with this.

Which carrier LTE does it support?

It supports AT&T, T-Mobile out of the box. Just get a Sim card from the provider and a data plan. T-Mobile has a lifetime free 200Mb/month plan.  Though it is reported that the 2013 N7 also works on Verizon, Verizon is not activating the device at the moment. If you had a data plan with a hotspot device from them,  then you should be able to swap Sim cards from that device and be good to go, though it would probably be a good idea to wait for them to officially support it

The 4 LTE carriers. AT&T, T-Mobile and possibly Verizon. Verizon said they're not sure if Nexus 7 2013 will work with their 4 LTE system but if you bring tablet into one of their stores, they will insert their sim card in and test if it works on their system. 
Ultimately you will have to insert the sim card into the tablet from the carrier you have selected anyway.

The first Nex7 was not compatible with any credit card readers. Has anyone confirmed that the 2nd Gen has a 4 contact headphone jack and works with all the credit card readers now? GoPayment says it does but I'm gun shy about dropping this kind of cash and finding out there is an issue.

Hi;  The Nexus 7 (2nd gen) powers and operates the Square Reader CC device.  The app says this "may not be compatible" when you activate it, but don't worry, it does work.  I would imagine it does work with others.

The LTE version operates on a cell phone data plan (but not Verizon yet....AT&T is the best right now).  The non-LTE is about a hundred dollars less and operates only on a wi-fi network.  So once you purchase a data plan for your LTE, you can access the Internet from anywhere there is cell phone service.
