Does this unit come with Office 2013 like some of the other Windows 8 tables do?

Yes, there is a half sheet of paper with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 stick inside the box. The software is pre-installed, you just need to enter in the product key from that sheet of paper to activate it.

I can confirm I bought mine from Newegg late Jan 2014, and mine did come with a digitizer and pen. Specs of all models are on lenovo's main site "frontslash psref"

The digitizer works great! I upgraded to the Surface Pro Pen stylus and that works great, including the eraser function. It's bigger, so it doesn't fit in the slot, but for me it's much more comfortable.

My 36795MU did NOT come with Office- some people here are saying theirs came with a key for office. If you look on lenovo's website, all of the non-pro models say they come with office, including the 36795MU. Mine did not. It came with office pre-installed, but no serial- believe me, I looked everywhere in the packaging. So you click on a program and it asks you for a serial, but you can't run it without buying a serial.

I contacted Lenovo support and said I bought this model from Newegg, and mine didn't come with an Office serial, and they said that you're only guaranteed to get a full office license if you buy from them, and would not provide me with one. So, I had to purchase Office separately. This is a pretty slow tablet, but it actually runs the full Office Desktop Programs acceptably fast.

Mine DID come with the free oneNote Win8  "metro" app (not a desktop program), which works great.

A bit of unsolicited advice: The ONLY reason to buy this tablet is if 1) you know you need a wacom stylus and 2) you need the 10" screen. Otherwise you should get a BayTrail tablet- handwriting recognition works great on this machine, but it's normal operation is really quite sluggish when opening programs, etc. Asus sells an 8" BT with Wacom, or there are a couple 10" BT tablets. I bought it specifically to use OneNote, and to be able to run Office, and read PDFs on a 10" screen. It works great for that, but as a computer, it's slow as molasses.

2 of the reviews mentioned that 1. it is slow 2. taking hours to charge 3. and that wifi not working properly. Please tell me if there are any such issues. 4. And does this have USB 3.0?

its not so fast maybe compering to ipad air, but it's smooth , I update the system to Win 8.1 works great , i can't see HD movie, But you getting Windows 
based system as you desktop or laptop,didn't have any issue with Wi-Fi  or any charging problem, works great, great device

Yes this model comes with the active digitizer. You can also check the Lenovo website to verify which models come with what specifications. Unfortunately I am not able to include a helpful link here, but if you do a search for the terms "Lenovo Product Specification Reference (PSREF) sheets" you will be taken to a page on the Lenovo website that contains a pdf file called ThinkPad Notebooks (the ThinkPad Tablet models are in this file). This pdf lists all of the different ThinkPad Tablet 2 models where you can see which models come with the active digitizer.

can i download excel 2013? surf the net? write a paper for school?

I'm using it for that purpose right now. I'm an engineering student and use it for those functions all day everyday. The pen function with onenote is fantastic for sketching and note taking. The screen is somewhat small to be very productive, a secondary monitor is on my wishlist. The atom core does a good enough job, doesn't freeze or not respond often. It has some problem though, whether lenovo or windows where it will wake up super laggy and the network card won't work. I sent it in to lenovo when I first got it, they replaced the wifi card but it still craps out sometimes (when changing network locations or trying to pair bluetooth headphones or keyboard). Luckily a hard reboot fixes it and it reboots fast enough that it only takes a minute, but sometimes it can be embarrassing to try and do something with an audience to have it fail hard. Overall for the price I would recommend it to any student. Great battery life, portability, and function. It has kinks such as the wifi card and sometimes the pen (which, if your hands are not infant size, is very thin) loses accurate 'tracking'. I bought mine last August and besides a few frustrating moments, I do not regret the purchase at all. A friend has the larger full core version with the 'clip on' keyboard, it is nice as well and can run games and CAD software (limited complexity) but is more cumbersome to use as a tablet

Does this item have Office preinstalled?  I only ask because of the following statement found in the Overview section of the listing:

"•Runs Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & OneNote (must be purchased separately)"

The "must be purchased separately" statement concerns me.  Can anyone clarify for me?

It comes with Office key you need to download it but it definitely comes with the license key for Home and Student 2013

I am interested to purchase this Windows 8 tablet, but first I have following questions:
1.	Does this tablet have a full size USB 2.0/3.0 port? (I am looking for full size USB 2.0/3.0 on actual tablet panel, NOT at docking station, stand or keyboard)?
2.	If the tablet has a full size USB 2.0/3.0 port, does that full size USB port at the actual tablet panel work with full size USB 2.0 printer? 
3.	Does that full USB port at the tablet work for full size USB 2.0 powered external CD/DVD RW drive?!
4.	Does that full USB port at the tablet work for USB 2.0 powered external hard drive/hard disk?!
5.	Does this tablet have rear facing and front facing camera? What are the megapixels of them?
6.	Does this tablet have port for hard disk/MicroSD Memory Expansion?
7.	Does this tablet included/preloaded with Microsoft office, and comes digitizer pen, docking station or keyboard?

1. 2.0 Only full size (not mini), it located under a cover just above the mini USB charger port.

2. Yes, it is full size USB 2.0.

3. Not sure I would assume yes (see below).

4. Yes, it work for my external HDD.

5. The unit have both front and rear camera. If you want to know more, try Google or download the user manual or visit Lenovo site.

6. Yes, it have port for MicroSD at the top (under plastic cover) as well as 3G/4G SIM card slot.

7. It comes preloaded with Microsoft office (Product Key included inside the box) and comes digitizer pen.
